Empório da Cerveja is a part of ZX Ventures, the innovation hub from AB InBev - The largest beer manufacturer group in the world. Empório da Cerveja was born to offer the largest and best portfolio of craft beers in Brazil. With a very large selection of premium beers, Empório da Cerveja curates beer labels to meet the needs of a fast growing demand for specialty beers in the country.
Today, Empório da Cerveja is the largest e-commerce specialized in beers in the country, offering about 750 labels, 90 different styles, and +100 beer brands, including exclusive labels and accessories. Part of the digital strategy was to regionalize the assortment and distribution in the main capitals in order to improve the logistical process, reaching deliveries within 3 hours across the greater São Paulo, for example.
Empório’s e-commerce was already running on VTEX CMS. At the end of 2019 the company needed to evolve its store and decided to build a new platform using VTEX.IO, to accelerate future developments with atomic design concepts and reuse of code and components.
Communicate regionalized conditions and portfolio
We developed special pages to communicate products with exclusive conditions, such as faster and cheaper delivery based on the user’s geolocation.

We improved the display of beer information on product pages and included information about style, bitterness and alcohol content in the product card on the store shelf.
Increase the autonomy of the business team_
All the components were developed in integration to the Vtex.IO Site Editor, always seeking to offer greater autonomy for the business with regard to the management of pages and elements such as shop windows, searches, carousels, etc. This also greatly increased the freedom of the product owners to conduct quick tests and research by easily changing the layout.
We always work with VTEX and a time has come when we understand the need to migrate to the VTEX.IO technology in order to continue evolving our product even further. Among the suggested partners, we chose ACCT because we believe it is the best option to deliver one of our main requirements.
A team that agreed to work together with our internal team so that we could transfer knowledge and autonomy to autonomously run the store later. It was a very rich partnership, a job done with complete integration between the teams, with unified communication and agile routines between Empório and ACCT.
Today we have a store with excellent performance and our team is able to evolve the product on its own, which resulted in a contract for a new project with ACCT.
